I love my home to be nice and clean, does anyone have good tips for achieving this without too much effort?

I guess I am looking for some good speed cleaning tips if anyone has any.

- turn on a good tv show and clean real fast during each commercial

- do the 15/15… speed clean for 15 minutes each morning and 15 each night.

Clutter: Use touch once technique. Either put it in it’s place or throw it away quickly. Paper plates, cups, in kitchen. Keep the pull out wipes under sink and before bed wipe down kitchen applicances and bathroom. Vacuum all rug each night. Have two hampers, one for whites and other for fragile or colors. Throw in laundry before bed and switch over in morning to dryer. Run dishwasher just when going to bed. that way all the dishes will get washed, even those used for snacks.

First organize your home, everything in its place. Make your bed, do dishes everyday.
    Cleaning staples:
Lysol (yellow label) put 2 drops in pail to mop or by hand wash floors with your favorite dish soap,Lysol with bleach for kitchen and bathroom just spray and it cleans. Glass Plus wipes good for furniture, , windows, car etc. (love this stuff). Saddle Soap for leather, non leather products, shoes and purses.

These products are economical, fast and work great with little time.

This is going to sound really silly and basic. But if you live alone always just clean up after yourself right away, always dress and undress in the same place. Have a way to organize jewlery ( I use a bamboo placemat hung on the back of my bathroom door to keep jewlery organized). Take your shoes off upon entering the house and keep them neatly by the door. If you live with others, remember you can’t control what everyone else does, but you can ask them to clean up after eating, bathing, etc. Also keep double cleaning supplies, one for the front of house, one in the back. That way you won’t have to keep going back and forth for supplies. Also, schedule weekly duties to be done on the same day each week. Like always vaccuum on Tues, yard work on Sat. etc.

Make a schedule of rooms/days (Monday/Kitchen, Tuesday/Bathroom, etc). Start at the back of the room and work your way to the door. If you schedule 1 hour a day per room, and pick up clutter as it occurs, your house will stay in good shape.

Instead of saying "I’ll clean this up later" pick up stuff right after you use it so you never let your clutter pile up!

I have a large house and I am in my later years, people ask me how come my house is always neat and tidy. When I get up in the morning I never leave the bedroom before I make the bed or clean the en suite bathroom. If you put things away in their place when you finish with them you never have to go back and do it. When you take your clothes of the washing line fold them up straight away and put them away hang on hangers anything that needs ironing, leaving it in a basket creates more work.Tidy as you go!!
    Good Luck

Buy quality microfiber! Top quality microfiber removes 99% of bacteria without chemicals, and leaves a sanitary surface that dries quickly (mops leave floors dry in 20 sec). You use only water, no paper towels, no sprays, no smells, no allergies. But be sure to take care of it. Don’t wash with bleach or fabric softener and a cloth will last a couple years. Norwex microfiber is also antibac, meaning the bacteria and viruses die within the cloth -yet chemical free. Check website http://www.norwex.ca and let me know if you need more info!
