actually, newspaper is very effective. It works way better than cloth or tissues(they tear and leave fibers trails), Not every household is going to have micro fiber towels. This is the method we use to clean the walls and wall of mirrors in our ballet studio.

I agree….absolutely the worst way to clean your windows If your not going to hire a pro to do your windows then at least use a micro fiber towel instead of newspaper…the ink (even black and white) will get on the windows.
