I work full time, go to college full time and have a home to take care of (cook, clean, laundry, etc)..I am feeling overwhelmed with staying organized, keeping my home organized, and getting the energy to do so after my full days..any tips please?

She sends out daily emails and reminders telling you which steps and routines to follow to keep an uncluttered home. She also has a lot of great information and motivators on how to get organized and stay that way.

The most important thing I’ve learned is to do what you can, when you can. Divide the tasks up into smaller more manageable jobs and chunks of time. It won’t seem so overwhelming that way. It is better to take small steps than to do nothing at all.

get a whiteboard calender and write everything that needs to be done on it on a monthly basis

then reward yourself, or give some money to a trusted freind to set aside to give to you if you keep up with everything you have to do. or go out and buy something you really wanted and give it to your friend, or hide it at your parents house or something.

if you do everything on the board, and your friend agrees, she’ll hand over the money and you can go enjoy yourself and buy something nice ^_^

30 minute clean up or on a bad day
    15 minute clean up

Set a timer for either time as your schedule allows and run around like a nut cleaning for just 15 or 30 minutes a day. It’s not a big chunk of time (ever watch Rachel Ray?) and you’d be amazed at how much you can get done. Doesn’t deplete your energy, gets rid of clutter and it’s worked for me for years.

The next time you have a day or two off:
Start with ONE room at a time…make yourself stay on that one room until you have accomplished all the cleaning and organizing…
Once a room is organized, enlist EVERYBODY in the house to keep it like that…handing out demerits or punishment (like no TV) until the room is back in order…hand out rewards for keeping it clean..and this means to yourself as well..
I try to keep my house clean and organized that no matter WHO dropped in..I would be proud to show them in…it’s what I call "company ready"…
When things are clean and organized..you will find yourself having MORE time for other things….
If you can afford to, hire an organizing expert to come in and help you get started…

Have a place for everything and put everything in its place. Open your mail every day by the waste can and the shredder. Pay your bills as they arrive. Ammonia and warm water is a good all-purpose cleaner: it cleans just about anything and doesn’t require rinsing.

if you work full time and you go to school full time that means you do not have really to have every organized. That’s just impossible. But it is possible. You would need to sacrifice either to have better grades or to organize your house. That s the reality…Because think about it for a minute, The reality is that
1- if you work 40 hours a week and you have at least 13 hours a school and you need an additional 2 hours for each class to study and homework (=26 hours on average). That s a total of 40+13+26= 79 hours on average a week, just for school.
2-You need to prioritize..No more movies, no more going out during the weekends..no more booze, lol
To me, i think school is more important than anything else. So like i said first you need to know how many hours a week, you can concentrate just for school and work, second how long will it take for you to clean up your house, and third, you have to prioritize. If you do not prioritize, believe you me you will not study and you will not clean your house. and by the way, get ready to sleep at 12am to 2am in the morning. If you do not have a BIG CLOCK to wake you up in the morning, it is time to get one.

I have done it before i used to work full-time, more than 40hours a week and took 18 hours for school and i used to live alone. So,,,, you can do it, but like i said PRIORITIZE.

Get rid of and make sure you dont have any junk you dont need cluttering around.
Then give everything its own place. Good storage like bins, shelves, cupboards, drawers, etc. are always good.
Make sure you always clean up after yourself right away.
Like when you cook and have dinner for example, do the dishes right away after and put away any leftover food.
When you change your clothes put them in your hamper right away and do the laundry when its full or you have a load.
Also make a routine of doing certain chores on certain days and make it simple so you dont have alot to do and you wont feel so overwhelmed.

All you need is a red bull or some vitamin b/niacin for energy.
Just focus on your living room, bathroom and kitchen for now. Clean your sink, bathtub, floors, toilet and a window or two. DO IT THROUGHLY. and take a picture. Take 15 minutes throughout a day to tidy up, throw in a load of clothes, clean the dishes. whatever needs it.
Like me, I am constantly doing laundry, but in between loads, i do a sink of dishes, or i run the vacuum(which is broke now, stupid belt), or i lock myself in the bathroom for 10 minutes to wash the tub, sink, toilet and floor, and I put all my makeup and hair stuff away.

After I have it decent, I light my candles and ejoy the smells of every room. I love the smells. Thats my thing.

I clean for the smell of it.
