Is Bi-carb soda a green alternative to cleaning products?

and can it really be used to brush your teeth?

I use baking soda for a lot of cleaning applications, and my grandpa used to use it to brush his teeth. I sprinkle it on the carpet before I vacuum to help remove odors, I use it on pans with burnt on food to scrub it off, it’s a gentle abrasive that helps remove soap scum in the bathroom. As far as I can tell it is safe for the environment, and much cheaper than other options. I buy it a couple pounds at a time in the bulk bins.

Yes. Also check out http://www.saferisbetter.com/wellnesscountry for more ideas. We use environmentally safer products that cost less that store bought. They also saved my daughter’s life b/c she was so sensitive to the cleaning chemicals. It helped me too. No more sinus issues or unexplained tiredness.

Anything you do to make your home safer is a step in the right directions.
