Any recommendations on cleaning products for people with severe allergies?

I have severe allergies to pollen, dust, most trees, and most grasses. I am looking for cleaning products. Does anyone have any experiences with the Green Works products from Clorox? I know they are supposed to be all natural.

I just noticed this yesterday as I was cleaning up the kitchen with 409.. Yuck.. And then again when I was scrubbing the tub with a Clorox product…

I even mixed the bottles with water because they seemed too concentrated.. Still got a sore throat though..

This is all so confusing because "Green" products are so expensive.

I noticed that too. The green products are expensive. Well, you know us females, we need for things to be clean and germ free, I suggest going to the drug store and buy those surgical masks to use while cleaning. Something I’m going to start doing, because I already have lung damage, so I’d hate to hear that you develop something like I have.

What type of products are available in the US for green cleaning – like Sugar Soap?

I have seen on BBC-America Sugar Soap, Biodegradable Washing Powders, etc — I would like to order these in the US

yes i regularly cut a lemon in half, add a splash of water into a microwavable plate and heat in m.oven for a min or two, it makes grease easier to remove and leaves ur m.oven smelling clean and fresh.

Would you hire a cleaning service that used environment friendly cleaning products?

My friend says that is a bad idea to hire a maid service that uses green products because they do not kill germs and don’t clean very well as opposed to using something like bleach.

I would say the enviornment friendly one. Yes, germs are bad, but if the world had no germs we would die.

Green products don’t necessarily not work, they just don’t work as much as bleach would. They still clean enough for you to live a healthy life. Plus still,just by smelling bleach your killing yourself. Well your brain cells, but harmful nonetheless.

where can i find green home cleaning products ? i’ve heard that don imus has a web site devoted to these types

Try Quixtar products( link below). They are some of the best, most economical products I’ve ever used. I don’t know about Don Imus.

I use good old elbow grease. You can definitely get marble clean with just water and a sponge.
